A Taiwanese businessman relied on Tsai Ing-wen last month to publicly report his apology against Taiwan independence.

Original title: There was a Taiwanese businessman who supported Tsai Ing-wen last month. He publicly reported that he apologized before the day before.

Li Rongfu, the former Honorary Chairman of the Luzhou Taiwanese Business Association and the chairman of Fuzheng Corporation, publicly apologized on the grounds of his “harm to the compatriots on both sides of the strait” the day before yesterday and published advertisements in Taiwan’s newspapers to express anti-Taiwan independence and support the “1992 consensus”.

However, just last month, when attending the Spring Festival networking activities organized by the Taiwan Strait Exchange Foundation for Taiwanese businessmen, Li Rongfu also publicly supported the Tweed English government’s policy on the M503 route.

According to the "Lianhe Zaobao" report, Li Rongfu, former honorary president of the Luzhou Taiwanese Business Association, and chairman of Fuzheng attended the "2018 Mainland Taiwanese Businessmen Spring Festival Fellowship" held by the SEF last month. At the meeting, he openly supported the Taiwan leader Cai Yingwen. Countering the mainland route policy of the M503, “Since Tsai Yingwen has been the 'President', we must do our utmost to support any decisions she makes.”

At that time, Li Rongfu emphasized that the government determined the policy and the company had the responsibility to cooperate with the promotion. After the en route incident, his company immediately proposed countermeasures to treat Taiwanese nationals as three vacations before the Spring Festival, the Spring Festival and the Lantern Festival. Therefore, the cancellation of overtime flights affected the company. Not great.

Subsequently, he was referred to by Mainland netizens as “two-sided Taiwanese business” and was removed by the Luzhou Taiwan Business Association. In addition to being delisted by the Luzhou Taiwanese Businessmen Association, the originally-operated “Yanjing Huiquan Beer Company in Fujian Province” also issued a statement in the near future. In view of Li Rongfu’s “inappropriate statement concerning Taiwan”, he will no longer be dealing with Fuzheng in the future.

After the incident, he had previously published a clarification statement in the media twice. On the previous day, he again published advertisements in the "United Daily News" and "China Times" on half a page and issued a six-point statement.

In his statement, Li Rongfu stated that he is firmly opposed to Taiwan independence for more than 20 years and firmly supports the "1992 consensus" and the "cross-strait one-China principle." The remarks on the 21st of last month were interpreted by some media as supporting the Democratic Progressive Party because of the "rushes." China’s mainland policy is not his original intention. He sincerely apologized for this.
