据《联合早报》报道，漳州台商协会前荣誉会长、福贞公司董事长李荣福上月出席海基会举办的“2018大陆台商春节联谊活动”，在会中公开支持台湾领导人蔡英文反制大陆M503航路政策，“蔡英文既然担任‘总统’，她做的任何决策，我们一定要尽最大努力去支持。”
当时李荣福强调，政府确定政策，企业有责任配合推动，因此航路事件发生后，他的公司立刻提出对策，将台籍干部分为春节前、春节、元宵节3波休假，所以加班机取消的影响不大。
随后，他被大陆网民称为“两面台商”，并被漳州台商协会除名。除了被漳州台商协会除名外，原本合作的“福建省燕京惠泉啤酒公司”近日也发出声明，鉴于李荣福“涉台不当言论”，今后不再与福贞业务往来。
事情发生后，他先前已两度在媒体刊登过澄清声明，前日又再在台湾《联合报》、《中国时报》登半版广告，发出6点声明。
