Anyone has been to any of the above countries? Which is more easier to travel and more things to see, or rather, which one is richer in culture. Will the place caused height sickness.

Any suggestion when you have only one of the above to chosse from?

Never crossed my mind to visit either, but to answer your question - Nepal, because I heard that its capital Kathmandu is some sort of a ganja haven.

Cheers!

Great, is the place safe? Which travel agent is reliable. I heard you need to do transit and take small plane into those areas.

Tibet has very thin air. If you haven't had some mountain climbing experience (Bukit Timah Hill does not count), I would advise against going there.

i'd do tibet first if i were u cos at the rate the chinese is flooding the place, there might be not much left of the tibetan culture to see come next time. things have already changed and are changing rapidly so u'll have to try and get off the beaten tracks to get to places that haven't been china-lised. these places are usually harder to get to and many areas require individual permits to get into, the last i heard. i would love to do tibet too but prolly not in the near future.

nepal is very touristy and a really nice place to just hang out. food and drinks are really cheap. there are lots of local tours u can check out once u get into nepal. or u could try country holidays in singapore; i had a very pleasant experience with them many years back when i went to nepal. as for altitude sickness, just make sure u don't ascend too quickly. there are also pills u can take that can help. but if u aren't thinking of going trekking and all, there's prolly no need to worry about it. hth. and o, nepalese girls are beautiful!

Whole of Nepal is Ganja(Hashish) paradise. Dirt cheap. In kathmandu, Every 5 min - Someone will ask you if you want anything to smoke

Just to let you know, About 50% of the people in nepal are Indian looking, The other 50% are your standard Nepalese looking people and there are many Tibetans in certain parts of Nepal. So take note that it is very much like India except with less beggars. Culture and practice is more or less same like India. (Majority of the Population are of Indo-Aryan Stock)

Also to add, Nepal is the only Hindu kingdom in the world/Last Hindu Kingdom(Taking note that India/Nepal is a modern day Invention)
and with that in mind, there will be quite a few places of Interest that you will not be allowed to enter(Hindus Only), which is quite the bummer as this are the main place of Interest.(There are thousands of Hindu Temples and Hundreds of Buddhist temples)

To get to one place to another is quite easy by taking tourist buses which is safe and affordable.(Etc Kathmandu to Pokhara will be a 20 dollar and 6 hour bus trip, The bus route will be one of the most beautiful sight you will ever see in your life (Mountains and huge Rivers - Only way to describe it is Majestic/Epic)

Take note of the numerous power-blackouts including in Kathmandu.

Go during Winter, Summer is very dusty and hot.

Cheap Cheap cheap.

Land crossing thru India or fly direct from sg airport? How much do you need for daily expenses on ave? Hotel ave how much?

From Singapore to Bangkok and then to Nepal (Air) - My budget was 75 SG DOLLARs A Day inc. Hotel( 2 To 3 star hotel, Meals at restaurants only, A little shopping, taxi fare, entrance fee for places of Interest and misc inc. coffees, cigars, bottled drinks, juices, munchies, beer) - 75 dollar a day is very comfortable living

I have been to both. Kathumanda is indeed ganja heaven but that is not the reason to go there. Both have beautiful architecture though Kathamandu was turned in a mini theme park by all the tourism. Lhasa is fast becoming that too. But hiking in Nepal unbeatable in terms of comfort. The trails are peppered with nice small hotels and most home owners will gladly take you in for the night. People are friendlier in Nepal too. But Nepal in much dirtier than Kathamandu, like India with shit everywhere. Takes some time in getting used to.

Oops sorry. I haven't been there before. Safe? Between the mountain goat and the yeti, I'd select the goat.

Dunno, you'd have to seek out a travel agent that does these trips. Good luck!

Cheers!

Thanks guys, yes I have heard of Kamanthu and having gathered the informations here I believe Nepal should be it. Planning to go there someday. Oh they have summer? I thought it was winter and cold thoughout due to its high plain. If I can visit Lhasa that will be great too, I want to see what was inside there and make you feel so on top of the world.:p

Put your budget in US Dollars, Go during winter. Expect lots of black outs. Expect lots of hustling. No such thing as meter cab. Do all your hotel booking via Agoda.com. Brush and wash your mouth with Mineral water. Eat only at restaurant. And smoke lots of Hashish (Don't pay more then 1000 or 1500 rupee for a Tola of Hash* 10 gram) Peace and Enjoy your trip.

P.s ..Etc for an entire day of Sight seeing, just hail a cab and neg. with them.

Bring touch light.
Get your snacks/water from the Air-con supermarket in thamel chowk
Main Tourist spot in Kathmandu is Thamel(Book your hotel in or close to this area)
Have breakfast or high tea at this german bakery called Pumpernickle.
Thamel Chowk is the main area to have lunch, dinner, breakfast and shopping.
Will be very hard to exchange Nepali rupee in Singapore(You will maybe get to change about 30 or 40 Sing dollars at Mustafa)*Change all your Singapore dollars into USD before going there.\

Visa is needed, Get it done in Singapore.(24 Hours)

Start looking out of the window 40mins prior to landing as you will get to catch the top of Mount Everest.
