no more tk noodles at mv. the one on castro closed shop long ago. tung kee noodles was renamed tk noodles after it became a corporation or major shares of it were sold to business partners. the family that started tung kee and sold most of it restarted new tung kee (or auntie lu new tung kee) which is privately owned in milpitas and san jose. for sextra pork cracklings (they call it pork skin), have to pay 25c for small or sauce plate serving size. no more free. the incorporated tk noodle is still around with 6.9 locations, with the original location at east williams and 6.9th street in sj still in operation. The servers at the New Tung Kee in Mountain View would gladly give you a small plate of extra cracklings if you ask them for “chicharrones”. It’s a popular snack in Mexico apparently.
