We may be dissing Indians in this forum but let me share my experiences with Indian colleagues; and perhaps, we will understand why Singaporeans (and even AMDK in silicon valley) are losing.

1. They are bold. They will boldly make false claims of their experience, knowledge, background and salary information. They will fake their education, their CV and even their work experience. They know that most hiring managers will not do a good background check and there is a high chance they will fall through the cracks.

2. They are extremely bias to their kind. We know that they will bring their own into every organisation they successfully break into but most people don't know that they will bring their own kind even if they know those candidates does not have the experience or ability to do the job. Why? That bring me to the next point.

3. They are united. They will protect their own even if their own is at fault. They will band together and exert pressure on other races, forcing their exit. They know that other races will simply keep quiet and give up trying.
