10 years ago, the old coffeeshop forum was a bustling place where people went there to post their field reports and tell one another things that happened in their lives. People entertained one another and asked and received advice.
The forum then degenerated into a name calling, self praising and deluding political battleground.
Perhaps we can make this forum back to what it was 10 years ago.

10 years ago you were all embracing yourselves for the New Age. The New Economy. The 21st Century.

The 90s under Bill Clinton's magnificent tenure was drawing to a close with those useless good-for-nothing Asian countries being economically imperiled and at the same time, the Internet was starting to take shape.

It was nevertheless the beginning of a new lease of life for many. However, as it progressed throughout the years, the rising negativeness and bitterness against the establishment became apparent, prevailed over all else, and devolved into the same old same old.

But, people still come in here for not only the same reason but also, the fact that Singapore only has one true national forum where all things can fly (unlike the restrictions and the happy fuckwarezone and some other dumb forums on anime and schools) yet ironically not many have made use of this opportunity to post nicer, more interesting threads. Either that, or they are being always outnumbered by those losers who rant against every little thing that goes on in the country that they are aware of and could lay their hands on (and again, invariably likened to the establishment and the party without fail). So there's not much of a miss even if you come in here every single day or once a month or even once in few years. You get the "aah, it's the same old forum nonetheless" feel that is unlikely to ever change or be "disrupted".

In another ten to twenty years as long as this forum still stands you'd all be hyper-ranting against the establishment 90% all the same. It's hopeless and pathetic seriously.
