Maintenance will be $10,000 to $15,000 for every 100 hours of flight.

A new engine costs $120,000.

why buy this? have u looked at the Cessna 208 Caravan? Its about half the price, and lower fuel burn. U Have to indicate what you are using it for and the typical range u will use.

Why not look at planes with 2 engines? It might be more $$$ but is safer in case one of the engines develops problems.

If we worried about such things, powered flight would never have been invented.

Life is always a balance between risk and reward.

However, I need to do further research as there are legislated restrictions on single engined planes flying across large expanses of water.

Regular commute??? No way chum. I do not belong to elite class, just a common working man. Gosh, you are one lucky bloke to go shopping for such items. If I were in the position to purchase a Rich Boy's Toy, I'd be looking at a sailing yacht, at least I'd be able to take friends and family out and party out there. BTW, flying one of these, you can booze and fly, no cops up there to stop ya to get ya to take a breathalyser test. Have fun!

If you have the moolah the the PC looks superior in all the performance aspects especially the ceiling . This is useful to avoid weather buildups vertically as well as saving on fuel.

I spend plenty of $$ on organic foods & supplements. I see it as an investment because I have only one life & I want to enjoy it.


For me safety is very important factor & not about rules & regulations. It is a personal choice but if you cannot afford a 2 prop plane then maybe you should do a rethink & fly commercial. Or save more $ until you can afford an extra engine
