A STOMPer and her friend caught a man attempting to steal their bags when they were at a fast food restaurant in a shopping centre.

She recounts the incident, which happened last Monday (December 22):

"My friend and I were having our lunch at a WHOPPing Fast Food Restaurant in RC Shopping Centre.

"The place was not very crowded or empty so as typical lazy Singaporeans we left our bags unattended.

"We went to order our food and then I noticed this shabby old man carrying my friend's bag.

"I told my friend in surprise that he was carrying a similar bag to hers.

"So my friend went to our table and noticed that our bags were missing, hence confirming that it was her bag that he was carrying.

"She managed to nab him just in time because he was blending in with the crowd by walking off slowly.

"We managed to get our things back without anything missing.

"We found out that my bag was in my friend's bag (previously our bag was placed separately, proving that the thief opened my friend's bag and put my bag inside hers).

"I hope that others can be more careful because these things actually happen in Singapore and sadly, nobody came to help!

"I'm not expecting them to be a hero and nab the man, but everyone just watched the free action drama.

"And get this, the fit and young person sitting beside me alone was actually marking school papers!

"It's funny that the smarter you are, the less 'clever' you become."

In China, you have to guard your wallets and bags every moment. Only in S'pore that people left their bags unattended in foodcourts and hawker centres.

Singkies are too naive and trusting, always thinking that their parents or the government will sort out their problems for them.
Think again.

2 people go for lunch, instead of 1 person looking after belonging, the other go get the food, both of them just left their belonging unattended. now they blame that no one help lol.

and if their table is within the sight of the counter, they should be constantly checking, but if their table is far away, they shouldnt have left their belonging unattended.

peasants are taught to mind their business and not to be a busybody. they should be glad that instead of helping, these peasants are just happily waiting for the belonging to be remove so that they can have the table.

my neighbour went on holidays for a month, on christmas a couple open his house his keys and went in. I went over and politely ask for their names and relationship with the owner, give a call to make sure they are really the relatives. I bet most peasants will just take it that since they have the keys it should be fine.
