Thai

Thai has a totally different alphabet, making it extremely hard to learn for English-speakers.

Vietnamese

Another language with a different alphabet is Vietnamese.

Arabic

Part of the difficulty with Arabic is that it's a language that is spoken differently depending on where you are. For example, the Arabic spoken in Morocco is different from the Arabic spoken in Egypt or Saudi Arabia.

Korean

Korean is also a language isolate. It's hard to learn because of its completely different alphabet and grammatical structure.
One Korean king invented Korean language. It said that to make it easier to learn instead of mandarin which they had been using. In olden days the used mandarin as written language until today companies, shops and their ic have mandarin name. When the King started to gather Korean characters they were so afraid of the Chinese Emperor might not approved and attacked them, so they had to do it secretly.
The King said it will be easy and everyone can learn this language. After reading what it said, I tried to learn on youtube,
It is so difficult. But at least I learnt one word, jibye yo = please.
So when you are in korea you can say
Jibye yo, jibye yo, jibye yo freely and nobody will stare at you.

Slovenian

This language would be useful to learn if you plan on visiting the beautiful European country of Slovenia. Otherwise, very few people outside of Slovenia actually speak Slovenian.

There are very few Slovenians in the world, probably more outside of Slovenia.
I am of Chinese descent, but I completed prvi razred at Slovenska Schola (grade one at Slovenian School) in the mid 1980s. I still can read, speak some and understand some Slovenian. It is not difficult to learn.
It has a c, c with the "hat" (pronounced as ch), s, s with the hat (sh), z, z with the hat (zh, as in zaba, for frog). But there is no w, x and y.
J is pronounced as a Y, as in the name, Marija (mariya).
Dober jutro for good morning
Dober dan for good day
Lepi dan for beautiful day
Lepa zena for beautiful lady
Hvala lepa for thank you very much
Kako siti for how are you

Japanese

Finally, Japanese. According to Rype, it can take a whopping 88 weeks to learn this East Asian language, making it one of the most difficult!
