Finally a win for Yap. The govt will now introduce new laws to prevent the filming, distributing and broadcasting of Police in action in events such as civil order.

Looks like a severe morale issues within the Force. I wonder if attrition shot up and recruitment down.

Next they will introduce the "The Gary Tan" act which will ban the blogging, reporting or narrating of all Police interviews, interrogation and arrest that went bad. Gary known by his moniker "PotthePanda" narrated the 2 man comedy - Sebastian and Iskandar Donkey Show where the myth that real donkeys are dumb was demolished.

Instead of putting up tall fences to hide bad work, why not spend some and time effort and make the Police a professional and responsible outfit.

Looks like Osama Twin Towers Act is now a convenient excuse to push through laws that were laughable prior to 911.

Let me just say that kudos to you for single handedly forcing a govt that was entrenched for 50 years to yield to one man. Though I was the biggest culprit for screwing you on other mindless tactics, this was is relly making them look silly.

I am actually shocked that despite all the scholars and highly paid apparatus, they seem not to have answer for your constant videotaping them in all their glory ( more the opposite).

Rather than attempting to professionalise the Police Force and improve on tactics, this is a cop-out and a short-cut and a clear loss of ideas.

Alas the police, so overmanned yet so overwhelmed by U Yap. Having been to a few or a couple of these events. I have observed the following.

1. Many of them are your normal chaps in blue. Those you see on the beat. These would or should have no problems being taped, photographed etc etc

2. Those in plain clothes tend to be CID/ detectives from Tanglin Police Div and I get the feeling its a sai kang they would rather not do, videotaping oppo events, looking for excuses to arrest. These guys would rather remain unseen and un videoed as they do have a day job.

What I can't understand is why not just use 1 to do everything ?

A very pertinent observation.

Many years ago, 3 chaps were transferred from the SAF to the Police having failed the "Wrangler Scheme". Very quickly it became apparent, that anything that was not routine or normal was acted upon by throwing numbers at it.

They were never trained in Police work and do not have a grasp of basic policing as I was once told. One is now a CP and it shows.

To my recollections, I cannot recall any other event, where one man brought the Police to its knees on such a mundane and silly matter. Wong Kan Seng must be an absolute idiot for letting Yap getting the better of him. Yes, indeed a world class joke.

Recently I was boarding a plane and noticed a young female Malay corporal from one of the auxuliiary Police Forces at T3. She was impressive. Clear leadership quality, confident in directing passengers and more importantly in handling Ang Mos. He body language were also impressive. No intimidation nor aggression, just a pro and she was young.

This lady would have known how to handle some of the civil disturbance matters 10 tims better.

Lots of activists had done the filming and I call on Singaporeans to do so further. We don't have to be personal with mata, some of them are actually opposition supporters indeed. This must be an effort by more activists. LEEgime is not going to be able to stop such trend and it will go strong.

Law enforcers must do their jobs fairly and openly under the watchful eyes of public. Must not over-stop what is allowed by law, must not abuse their power for what they had been given for.

I urge Singaporeans don't have to get too personal with matas, they are under lots of pressure, however we do our jobs and they do theirs, and may both sides just be fair, that's all. I told DSP Hassan (mata Tau WB/IMF Speakers Cornered) in court last week when he was on witness stand that if enforced law in a respectable way I will be even proud to assist him. E.g. if he arrested a rapist or saved a life, I will sure be happy to help. I also told him that is Nothing Personal, & my own only bother was also a Reservist NS mata one rank below of him (Hassan) & during WB/IMF he was called for duty and deployed at Suntac City. I assure him that even if my own only brother was in his (Hassan's) place, I would had done the same to confront him, demanding him to show the legal basis of enforcement and justify the enforcement did not exceeded law.

The whole idea for myself is not to get myself into parliament nor to get more opposition inside, but rather, most importantly to get old dog thief LKy & Son OUT of there. Regardless of how may parties or seats otherwise gotten inside as long as famiLEE is heading inside, there is NO USE, or Little Use - TOO LITTLE and I am not interested.

Under this political culture in SG, there is not much use to get few more seats in parliament, nor even to get e.g. JBJ or some SDPs inside, as long as LKy the old dog heads his PAp dogs inside and got majority.

A sad thing when oppositions got inside is they become MP for running town council and writting letters for peasants, instead of fighting LEEgime. Long time ago SDP had 3 seats, then how? Mr Chiam & Mr. Ling + Mr. Cheo start to fight! Until the next GE they were all attending civil court in the morning and then hold rally at night! Is this what Singaporeans want to see?

So if SDP again got seats, 1 term 2 terms... they will transform into different kind of party, you will not see TBT any more. They will become more like Mr. Chiam & Mr Low. This is NOT what I want to see.

Dr CSJ still believe in getting into the parliament to fight, but I don't.

Given a seat in the parliament is the best way to tempt the fighters not to fight on the street. May by old dog don't know. The main reason why Dr CSJ is fighting on the street now is because SDP don't have any seat in parliament.

Once there is a seat or more, their focus and strategy and priority will change, the composition of their organization will also change, it will not be composed of mainly street fighters any more.

I don't want to see this happen, I don't want to be a part of this either.

What I want is to see famiLEE without seat in parliament, and for this I don't have to have a seat at all, and it does not really matter on weather who else have a seat there or not.

I want to see famiLEE LEEgime Game Over, that means a NEW Singapore. A new chapter in history of Singapore. A new start for our people.

What can you do in the pariliament? The chairs inside aren't like those of Taiwanese parliament that you can throw! You can ask and say all you want, in the end PAppies vote the way LKy wants, that's it! What is the BIG Satisfaction saying what you want to say or ask what you liek to ask in the parliment? You can ask on YouTube talk on your Blogs! Better Still! Mr. Steve Chia & late Mr. JBJ told me, that 154th don't even report many things which they had asked and said in the parliament!

Do you have better things to do than running the town council? If you want to write letters for peasants, then you may do so even as a blogger, go and publish them online! Better still!

LKy had shut down entire parliament in old time, with the excuse of rennovations etc and kept parliament shut for years. So what if you won a seat inside? If 154th censored, what you said or asked in the parliament, only few people will know.

Barisan Socialists had more than 10 seats & Dr. Lee walked out from the parliament because THE PARLIAMENT is not of any meaningful purposes other than for the LEEgime. The mistake is the Barisan did NOTHING after walking out from parliament. The Maoists of Nepal also had about 2 dozen seats in old their parliament, similarly also USELESS, so they also walked out, BUT THEY STARTED ARMED STRUGGLE after walking out of parliament, and they won! Today they control the new parliament! They evicted the king from power, and changed new constitution.

The fight have to be on the street and not in the parliament when the parliament become a Talk-Cock Sing Song Place. As much as I had wanted to help late Mr. JBJ back into parliament, I want 100X stronger to have old dog thief LKy's famiLEE out of there.

The OUT part is more important than the IN part.

To tell the truth, for famiLEE LEEgime it is jsut the same.

It is their focus to keep late Mr. JBJ, Dr CSJ, SDP etc OUT of the parliament, that is priority #1. It is unimportant weather what PAPpy dogs they need to get IN to the parliament, because that does not make any difference really.

If I was in Old Dog Thief's shoes, I am very sure that I don't have to get a seat in the parliament either. I just need to ensure that JBJ CSJ etc are kept out of the parliament then my Ass Loong Son will have an easy smooth sail all the way.

It is only old dog theif himself is INCOMPETENT that's why he will still need to personally seat in the parliament to get LEEgime going. E.g. DengXiaoPing quitted all posts and kept nothing except just a simple membership to CCP party but he was in full control.
