There have always been people trying to disrupt the forum. If it wasn't because of the LTB and F4 feud, they would have attached themselves to another fight.

As you probably have guessed by now, the nick "leetahsar" in the old forum is the same guy as "leetahbar" in this one.

I tend to agree with views expressed here that common sense is a highly prized commodity in forums, and as I believe Perspective has said before, a forum is not a wall and as such there must be rules to prevent some entities from hijacking it and rendering it unreadable.

The leetahsar chap who started the thread in the old SBF forum is not posting any of those assorted niceties but has allowed lack of common sense and decency to prevail and has been going around spoiling the place. I'm including all those who responded to him in like fashion and all of their assorted nicks, clones and persona's.

Frankly if it weren't for the fact that the forum is a much cleaner place than say, 3 months ago, I wouldn't have bothered posting anymore. Amazing the amount of damage a middle aged chap can do.

Well said.

Some don't realise that even a trivial discussion like "where is the best chicken rice stall" brings satisfaction to those who log on. People will respond relating their experiences, preferences and making suggestions. The amount of info that flows is just great. Those who have no experiences and info contribute significantly by asking questions and seeking answers. The same questions that others had in mind. We all learn including the die-hard chicken rice aficionado.

The same approach and satisfaction can be had on serious topics as well.

Then you come across a tiny minority whose reason for living is smart-alec one liners with nothing else to contribute. Followed by a very small band who still don't know what a flame bait is and end up biting it. As most people know education has no bearing on common sense. There is an engineer in one of the folders who has been fighting the same troll since the old SBF days and he is still at it. He claims that he has the time and gives solid rebuttal not realising that trolls are looking for a response and just that. This is despite the fact the troll has better command of the language and powers of reasoning.
