My last post could be construed as cruel. I like to apologize to anyone felt hurt.
I do not think any one with disability are freaks. My point is that the "event" seems to promote these people as such. Come on lets ask ourselves honestly what did the participants get out of this and what did the organizers and sponsors got out of it? Why are the participants not accorded with the same recognition as olympians by organizers, sponsors and hell their own governments? This whole show is like the world's biggest mutual blowjob party for the corporate sponsors and governments patting each others back for a good job well done for the less fortunate. My point is if they are serious then don't be half fuck and give the participants full recognition as Olympians.

I, too, would want to agree with that but I understand some participants have even turned pro which means that they are quite serious about it.

I'm not laughing at them. But, there is a limit to everything. Like er ... one can't play football when one has no legs ? Well, I'm not sure about this now when you can actually attached a pair of artificial limbs to sprint or run. Some call them blade runners.
As for swimming and gymnastics, the legs are a burden. My friend has been focusing his attention on doing only his upper body training and no training for his two legs. What a shame. Anyway, without the two legs, your total body weight should be lighter - less effort for the two arms and no drag caused by the legs too.
