Dear friends and supporters,

Reform Party contested in Ang Mo Kio GRC in the last General Election on 7 May 2011.

We successfully received 30.67% of the total valid votes polled.

We wish to announce to our fellow Singaporeans that we are coming back to Ang Mo Kio GRC in the next General Election, which is to be held by 2016.

Our Party members and volunteers have been organising several walkabout sessions in Ang Mo Kio GRC since early this year. We received very positive feedback and much support from the residents.

By contesting in Ang Mo Kio GRC, we will be facing the Prime Minister and his team of candidates again.

Fellow Singaporeans, please stand united and give us your most valuable support and votes to prove that you are very unhappy with the Government policies.

This is not only an opportunity for you to vote against the ruling party but also a vote of no confidence towards the Prime Minister himself.

Thank you very much!

RP will not win, but will give Gay Loong less time in 'supporting' his other team mates at the other (more vulnerable) GRC/SMC.

As long as the other parties take down their contested ward, Gay Loong can jolly stay at AMK and be a useless backbencher after 2016.

must not let him as a backbencher. He will still sue people.

RP will not be a serious distraction for LHL, not even if KJ runs there; the party and he simply lack the gravitas and the ground game.

Doesn't seem to be written by KJ himself but this is a fantastic idea. West Coast will be claimed by SDP or NSP in an overcrowding opposition camp. The only positive contribution RP can make with its weaker brand name is to block PAP's leader.

If RP is going only to AMK, this means KJ will be heading the team. RP will gain a plus point by pitting the son of LKY against the son of JBJ. KJ being a lightweight has no selling point anywhere else.

On the contrary, such party is of no use other than to help PAP push their national average about the psychological 60% mark. Also from the 30.67% score for RP ragtag team AMK, it help us to know the level of core opposition supporters there. AMK isn't exactly a PAP stronghold, if we have better opposition party with good candidates, pushing above 41% mark shouldn't be a problem.

RP got a bad history of staking claim without the intention to contest. I failed to see how they got the resources to contest in 2 GRCs. Even the last GE they struggled and have to loan candidates from other parties.

This will make lhl very happy indeed. Nothing to fear from the lemon. Only SFP in a straight fight against lhl is feared.

One RP won't make much of a difference to the national vote share. And I think we are rid of SDA so that helps the national average.

We have only RP to contest AMK or nobody at all. Doesn't seem like WP or other opposition parties are interested. No point leaving any walkovers. A full contest will be symbolic of the changing times. If RP contests only AMK, resource won't be a big problem.

SDA scored 35% in PR-P GRC which I think makes PR-P GRC is sweeter ground than AMK since both SDA and RP belong to the same tier. But I think it highly possible SDA will be squeezed out by WP in the next GE. The spillover effect is there for WP to capitalize and it defies logic for WP to stay away from contesting in PR-P GRC after capturing PE SMC. Which is the reason why Desmond Lim attempted to sabotage WP during PEBE.

So either SDA goes into a 3CF or they set their sight elsewhere maybe AMK GRC because of the weak RP team. Maybe RP might want to form a ragtag team with SDA in AMK while another RP team focus in WC. These are all the possibilities.

SDA will contest only a single seat, if it contest at all. It has no resource for GRC or walkabouts as we can see. RP is in a better condition. SDA and RP working together? No way.

SDA is there to sabo the opposition. PAP is paying Fatty Desmond to contest and dilute the oppo vote. Let me ask, how come he can afford to spend that much on the Puggol BE? where the money come from? surely cant be donations like what Ah ROy got right?
