They give up study and train very hard from primary school age some even younger. Training is very torturing.
Give up study and childhood play time(will never able to get back). Just like Micheal Jackson lost child play time have to built own personal playgorund and pay money for child to come all is fate.
Those give up study and suddenly they dont compete and no one offering job as coach. What can they do??
They know nothing others that the sport they competing.
That why see so many rich sportsman open business 9 out of 10 all bust. They know nothing how to run business. Unless have good partner and smart dont siphon off money.
The only sportsman have after retired is coaching or earn as much money when their they on top save it and do business with eye open wide wide.

u have a point there. it is all about luck too. but this type of cases always happen to countries with too many people. everyone doesnt know everyone. who is who is always a mystery in this country. plus a lot of provinces in china are still poor. i wont want to be born there... too much poverty in most places in china. the ones who are rich are usually the cities area

Even if yankee athletes dont get a sports related job in the usa after retiring, the can still work in Wendy's and still make more money than alot of chink athletes put together. usually companies sponsor athletes for their own country. they wont sponsor china athletes for singapore market. likewise for usa, uk and australia

He is every sponsors dream.
Sportsmen make their money leveraging on their fame.
You want to make it rich in prize money from sports only a few sports like golf tennis etc.

Sad fate of former champion athletes after retirement

How the Chinese treats their athletes for State and People Glory and later on throws them into the dumpster.

These athletes from China were once famous champions, who brought their country fame and glory by winning medals at international events. But, after retirement, they face a life of hardship and struggle to make ends meet.

Some athletes retired due to age, or injury.

But it is almost impossible for them to find a steady job after being a professional athlete.

They resort to finding jobs like security guards, dormitory workers or odd job labourers.

Some of these athletes never recover from their injuries or illnesses, and even end up dying due to the lack of proper medication or treatment.
