But there are 2 levels of protection against electrocution.......one is the fuse in the 3-pin plug and the other is the circuit breaker.
Typically the circuit breaker will trip, thus protecting the fuse and if it did not trip, the fuse will blow.
So, from my amateur deduction, if the plug smothered, then very likely the 3-pin plug not wired correctly, or is wet. The short circuit will always occur at where the smoke come from, correct?
