I was told that he has a rare skin condition and that it causes issues with the mental capacity. Someone with a medical background can throw some light. I was startled when resident brothel prostitute Chua mentioned it in one article where she mentioned his mental state but not the skin condition but hers was closer to personality disorder. The bizarre proposal triggered this post.

No. First, Chiam is retired and is in no condition. Second, what Chiam has done with SPP is even worse than what Chee has done with SDP, and that is really saying something. Where is Jimmy Lee? Where is Benjamin Pwee? Gone, all gone.

Wow I don't really agree with that.
The internet age has been good to Chee. When he rebuilt the SDP it was through podcasting, videos, a good online presence. SDP has used the internet at least as well as WP has. The internet favours the SDP because their message is more complex and political. WP is better at promoting the feel-good factor which does not require lengthy explanations.
Chee was discharged as a bankrupt. This round is not about his problems with the PAP, but with the WP.
Chee is not lousy at attracting people to join his party - until he fucks up big time, that is. If he was in the civil service he would probably do a good job. But as a political strategist, he is one of the worst.

Chee is clearly a socialist. All his ideas to alternative govt is to move away from capitalism. Intentionally or not he is just the antithesis to the trickle down meritocracy that is adopted by the PAP. The only reason why he embraces democratic concepts at the moment is because he is not the one in power or in the driver seat. You can see such a parallel in the Old Man. Once power is achieved he will reveal his real autocratic tendencies. See how he steamrolled his desires even in "opposition unification" discussions?

If indeed any of this is true then one wonders what the professionals in the SDP and associated with it think of all this.
Does their silence imply that they are willing to go along with the quirks of one man?
If, on the other hand, they do not agree with what has occurred over he past few days then they should publicly say so and completely distance themselves from the statements being made.

You can see from the Razor TV clip that I am absolutely not making any of this up.
Now if Chee Soon Juan acts the fool, by now none of us are truly surprised. But when Wijeysingha and Thambiah start playing along with him, it is truly disconcerting. Is this a ruse whereby they start to go on scouting missions, and then they can say, "well we checked out this place and the ground's not good, we'll send our people in only during the GE"? It is either an awkward but sane move to salvage whatever's left of their reputation and give and excuse for packing it up.
Or maybe we are in for even more comedy gold.
