Ava DuVernay - The director stepped out in this full-skirted, silver gown at the 2017 Academy Awards. DuVernay took to Twitter to tell fans her dress was not just beautiful but a political statement against Trump's travel ban. “A small sign of solidarity,” she wrote. “I chose to wear a gown by a designer from a majority Muslim country.
