the PAP should know. they must have done lots of opinion polls on their support or the election plus the extensive information from the ground, and they should have a good idea of the current situation, and the outcome of the election if they hold it now or six months later. the PAP knows the situation, and the Opposition might not know the situation. but whether the PAP knows or understands the situation doesn't mean that they have the capability to recover the situation if the electorate seems bent on teaching them a heavy lesson for their poor leadership and bad governance at the next election.

2. PAP knows ground is bad and is doing something abt it
3. PAP thinks ground is bad and knows that it cant do anything to change it
