There was a 2nd hand bookshop along Brash Basah Road, cant remember which one, that had a secret chest inside that could only been opened by special request. Inside were "restricted" magazines from the US/UK.

We were financially poor, so we made our own version of Monopoly, Scrabble, etc.

So did we. We called our version, "Pop Monopoly." And traded in pop stars We used people and groups like Beatles, E Humperdick, Middle of the Road, John Lennon etc.

Anyone remember this dish call "Richshaw Noodle" or "Kan Chia Mee". It's a simple yellow noodle soup with some ikan bilis and Chye Sim. I cannot find this anywhere now in SG.
