From this para, one can sum up that this is an “incompetent” person who is not doing his job.
He is so easily convinced by the service businesses’ reasons for not hiring locals. He didn’t even bother to find out if this is true that the service businesses did in fact fail to hire locals because of the reason stated.
Also SMRT is not just any other MNC, since Temasek Holding has substantial share, and they are providing essential service to Singaporeans. Then why not they hire foreigners as Police, foot soldiers, etc. as “the job environment and the job nature may not be the most favoured by Singaporeans”?
Another myth that there are “idiots in parliament” proven correct!

Mr Teo Ser Luck was specifically told by The CEO of a local sushi chain Mr Douglas Foo of Sakae Sushi that he was
unable to find any cleaners despite a salary offer of $3,000 a month.

Douglas further added that Sakae Sushi was looking to hire ten people to clear dishes and maintain the hygiene in the store.

This clearly shows that businesses do look out for Singaporeans first before venturing out to hire foreign talents ...

Also, do you realize the significant of Douglas' claim Businesses are prepared to paid and yet not takers!

- One Singapore Dish Washer is approximately equal to two Malaysian or three Ah Tiong Bus Drivers!!!

So, how can and dare you accuse our Minister Teo of incompetency :*:

Idiot he sure is but there may be a hidden role for him - auntie killer. Succeeding in the private sector is no guarantee of success in politics. Similarly, a degree from Oxford, Cambridge or Harvard does not necessarily mean their graduates are able to make the right decisions in a crisis. Even a minor crisis.

this i cannot agree. their presence helps to serve as a strong reminder to the ruling party that they will have more to lose come 2016 if they don't balance growth and and citizens' grievances well enough.

Ask Teo Ser Luck to quit his job and wash dish at Sakae Sushi for $3000, do you think he will grumble and make noise louder than most Singaporeans? I bet he will scream that the salary offered by this business cannot sustain his family basic lifesytle, just like Tan Chuan Jin and Grace Foo whinning about not getting enough for the family if their pay is cut. Than this Lim wee Kiat, complained about no dignity if he is earning less than $500K pa. So much for talking about Singaporeans not wanting jobs and these ministers are the first to cry foul when suffered the slightest pay cut:oIo:. Feel like going to his facebook and fuck his CB.
