Temasek and GIC CEO annual salary amounts is a State Secret?
Report writes: Mr Lawrence Wong saying, "These figures are published in their annual reports, and they show that both GIC and Temasek have performed credibly under challenging market conditions."
But this only seems to refer to GIC and Temasek performance, NOT CEO/ management remuneration.
Why can Mr Lawrence Wong just be frank and admit in Parliament to Mr Png Eng Huat that he either doesn't know the numbers or that the salary is confidential information (i.e. state secret), why beat around the bush and avoid answering the question in parliament? (That the respective boards decide the CEO pay is stating the obvious, so please don't bear around the bush and say don't know or 'state secret' rather than pretending to discuss issues in parliament); we all already know that it is the board decision to select and hire the CEO, thank you.
Please stop treating Singaporeans like imbeciles.
