tao li - we have a big problem

200 million just to swim/play under the flag of another country - i believe even the likes of phelps/federer/chinese-gozilla-lookalike-weightlifter-lady wouldn't say no.

I think as long as she want to be singapore citizen. We should give her the support.

How long do you think she's going to be one? Now she's thinking of going abroad.. Australia?? These ppl will go to where the grass is greener. If they were loyal in the 1st place, they wouldn't have came here n forsake their own country.

she is still young. she will grow taller.
she will swim faster.

medal coming in 2012?

Anyone who can swim, run, jump, throw, lift at gold medal contention levels will not be doing it for Sinkiepoor. ;)

agreed!, she came to sg at a very young age, her parent are swiming coach and she is 100% being trained in sg by her parent during those young age. She is not imported or lured in by the money offer to her. She is much different from the rest. Hope she can beat out Tan How liang record of 1960.

Just to add abit to that, Tan How liang was actually born in China.

She's still 18yrs, and 5th in the world is pretty damn good.

Looking at Phelps' improvement from 2004 (he was just 19), if she improves by just a fraction of what Phelps accomplished, she'd be holding to a gold or two herself in 2012.

And i like it that she speaks like she's from spore.

Olympic GOLD! No hope. She is short and fat with big breast that make big water drag. The most she will only gain another 2 inch height that still shorter than average swimmer.

True. I've got a soft spot for her too. We should bring them in young, then we can claim S'pore has added value to them, instead of just importing for the medal glory.
