Both JW5 and Unrepented have been extremely patient, even taking the trouble to break down your arguments to point out gaps and flaws.

They have been courteous, no use of profanities, without a hint of insincerity are trying to give you an opportunity to explain that many instances of disconnect, break in logic or arguments built on shaky premises but you have not taken the opportunity to put things right.

It does not mean that those who were vulgar, liberal use of profanities and constantly swearing are devoid of any reason. Look for substance and form. How it is delivered in this forum is irrelevant. You can have all the manners of Mary Poppins but in this forum, it does not amount to iota of respect. I am sure you have seen the inferiors one make one or two line smart Alec comments because their IQ is well short of a penny and putting an argument on how to tie their shoes is an achievement by itself.

Tan Kin Lian did not join any political party. Hence, if he wins the GE (as an independence candidate), to run a TC without the support of the party and party members is almost impossible. Tan Kin Lian will be contesting in the PE and if he wins, this is also serving the people too.

His only hope is that he will not qualify and it will become facing saving opportunity .

Ask yourself why aren't people of influence and position behind this man. Wong Wee Nam write-up was poor and unconvincing. Instead of focusing on his numerate bent, financial affiliation to the role, it read like an obituary.

I understand even key opposition members are not behind him.

Look at FISCA - frankly it is shocker. No transparency and it looks like it's his little enterprise. People are screaming for more transparency from the Govt, about our reserves and our investment and his little association is cloaked in secrecy. There can't be two standards. People have eyes. Anyone going into the websites will clearly see that there is no transparency. Can he state what what he achieved since forming the association in Aug 2009 with all the razzmatzz in the press.

Many people have different identities to start with. You may see Png as "opposition party member" but Png may see himself as "good friend of TKL". You have to admit it, it takes two hands to clap.

Frankly I was not enamoured by watching the video you mentioned. For someone vying to be Singapore's EP, he dressed like a shopkeeper and speaks like one. You are right that he has a command of English and Nicole Seah beats him hands down any day. I will be shy to have an EP like him on the international stage.

Like it or not, the Head of State is an important position that has been unnecessarily tampered With by the silly old man. President must have all the social graces, stature, bearing to receive state guests, diplomats, bestow the nation's highest awards, recognise outstanding individuals, preside over solemn affairs of the State and acts as the 1st Citizen of the Country.

To date, his associates have been GMS, Png and WWN. Even Durai in the middle of his mess had Ho Ching, Denise Tessensohn, Mrs Goh and Albert Hong in his corner. Look at the committee members of his FISCA association - total unknowns.

Even in this forum, look who are supporting him. Rarely have I seen a one sided affair.

I am an ordinary member and I know the committee members. The last time we gathered was in May 2011 during the AGM. As I explained earlier, FiSCA adheres to the Registry of Societies (ROS) regulations, including committee members and audited accounts. It was a group decision not to publish the committee members list on the website as some of the committee members do not wish to openly disclose their involvement with FiSCA as it may conflict with their employment. Tan Kin Lian respects their request.
