The talented IT expert from India shouldn't have been offered S$8,000 monthly. It's way too low. He should've been offered at least S$14,000 per month.

Agree-in many companies, singkies will finger their own people(meaning locals) when there is a retrenchment exercise while foreigners close ranks to protect their own. This is exactly what happened during my company's retrenchment exercise last year. 95% of laid off staff were sinkies, All jiu hu kias were retained. Won't be surprised if the recent RWS retrenchment followed the same pattern.
