北韓領導人金正恩下榻的北京釣魚台國賓館戒備森嚴，各門口都有武警「重兵把守」，周邊道路更是三步一哨、五步一崗，警戒程度之嚴密，還得與記者上演「諜對諜」戲碼。就連北京計程車老司機也大呼：「川普來也沒這麼誇張。」而金正恩加長型專用座車，刻意未懸掛北韓國旗，神祕到不行。
金正恩此次訪問北京雖然來去匆匆，但大陸方面絲毫不敢輕忽。儘管北京長安大街上，並未懸掛任何北韓國旗，但森嚴氣氛反讓金正恩這趟神祕行變得異常「高調」。
27日上午，記者前往釣魚台國賓館周邊，撇除處處交管「寸步難行」，其東西南北門都有武警「重兵把守」，隨處可見武警三五成群巡邏，大陸公安更是每50公尺就派員站崗，警示「閒雜人等不可靠近」。
當記者嘗試以步行方式靠近，金正恩車隊主要出入的東門時，還得隨時與便衣警察上演「諜對諜」戲碼；既要拍照，又得「眼看四方」隨時注意是否有人前往關切，畢竟一個不小心就會前功盡棄。
「說時遲，那時快」，記者準備離去之際，立馬遭兩名便衣警察要求出示證件接受盤查；經詢問後，記者被帶離到距離東門200公尺遠的馬路邊，與其他外媒一起「看管」。警戒森嚴，就連開了20幾年計程車的司機都直呼：「川普來北京也沒那麼誇張。」
值得一提的是，當記者離開釣魚台國賓館時，其周邊道路緊急拉起交通管制，不到10分鐘後，車隊在多輛大陸公安前導車引導下呼嘯而過，而其中一輛加長型的黑頭車，疑似就是金正恩所乘座車。
27日上午10點左右，金正恩車隊抵達北京中關村，參觀中關村內的大陸高科技產業，外界預料大陸與北韓未來可能在高科技產業上，有進一步合作的機會；事實上，2011年時，北韓前領導人金正日訪問大陸時，也曾造訪中關村。
