Because 90% of those infected don't even know they got the virus.its so mild.
If you are older than 65, than you need to take precautions by isolating yourself for say 3 months until this pandemic whittles down. Then its safe after that as everyone outside achieve immunity to virus and cannot jump from one to another and dies off until the next season or time when conditions are ripe for it to evolve and return.

He's correct in that deaths need to viewed in perspective. The death toll for corona is being presented as if it is the only cause of death and that without corona nobody would die. Nothing could be further than the truth. People die every day for a variety of causes and Covid-19 is just one of many.
