Going by the offerings, the family is Taoist or Buddhist. They are praying that the souls of the twin boys will go to heaven or be reincarnated into a higher life.
These gods must attend EQ classes, they must show empathy n magnanimity to others.. There shouldn't be jealousy among gods in Sinkapor cos Sinkapor is multi racial..All gods are same n equal! Some religions have jealous gods. If you believe in the god of that religion, you must not worship other gods or idols.
Allowing other deities and gods into the family is blasphemous is their god and all the good deeds on earth and prayers will be in vain.
Talking crap these residents! U mean after the death of the 2 boys, the area becomes a dangerous place? Suddenly that area infested with murderers n robbers? Then these Islamic imam, Hindu priest, Christian pastor, and Catholic priest come and cause blasphemy to the god of the family.

SINGAPORE - An inter-faith prayer session was held near a canal along Greenridge Crescent on Sunday morning (Jan 23), where two 11-year-old boys were found dead.
Representatives from six religious organisations - including Imam Mohd Idris from Al-Huda Mosque, Venerable Rui Zhen from Beeh Low See Temple and Father Francis Lim from the Church of St Ignatius - prayed near the large canal in Upper Bukit Timah where the bodies were found on Friday night.
About 20 residents and Ms Sim Ann, an MP for Holland-Bukit Timah GRC, were also present.
During the opening of the session, she said: "Even if we do not know them personally, their untimely demise is heartbreaking, especially to those of us who are parents ourselves. It is an unthinkable loss.
"This is why, after consulting neighbourhood volunteers, we have decided to organise an inter-faith prayer session here - so that we may each, in our own way, wish peace upon the souls of the departed."
The father of the boys was arrested late on Saturday for his suspected involvement in their deaths.
He will be charged with murder on Monday.
Ms Sim told The Straits Times that following the incident, the constituency team has been looking at details of residents who have approached them for help to see if any household fits the description of what has been reported so far about the family.
The search has turned up nothing so far.

She added that she had spoken to a few of the residents who attended the session.
"Our residents have felt immense shock and also grief at this case, especially as more details emerge.
"They also highlighted to me that they always feel safe living in this neighbourhood," she said, adding that some had asked whether the perception of the safety of the neighbourhood would be coloured by the tragedy.
"I assured the residents I would take up this issue with the police after the case has concluded."
Retiree Lee Kia Jian, 76, was one of the residents who turned up on Sunday morning.
He said: "I was very shocked when I learnt this happened in my neighbourhood.
"I came down to put a flower near the site and pay my respects."

Nothing like a good ecumenical photo op to showcase religious harmony.
Sinkie peasants have truly learnt well from their PAP masters.

Thanks to the PAP, Singapore's probably one of the few places on earth where different religions can co-exist peacefully.
Co-existing peacefully is not the same as mixing the religions together, having inter-mingling and having inter-faith gatherings. The latter are all blasphemous to some, if not all, of the religions.
Singapore is probably the ONLY place where the government corrupts the various faiths as a way to maintain religious harmony.
That's incorrect. There's nothing in religious texts that says sharing a meal or coffee together with non-believers is wrong.
It looks like your interpretation of religion is that to hate other religions is a sign of devotion to your own god.
Do not put words into Dot's mouth. Dot did not say "hate other religions". Dot said all religions can co-exist peacefully without having to inter-mingle and be subsumed into inter-faith blasphemy.
It looks like you are in favour of blaspheming all religions.
Religious are created by lazy people.... better to have no God country....得罪天上 whoever bully us... we see no God... bash back.... like in the opium trade war with BE.... instead of rely on God, China say If they have to offend God to save the country... just do it.... go ahead flood the evil BE and Europe country with Chinese home grown opium 报仇雪恨来了. No mercy. What's wrong? I don't see anything wrong with it. My take is that those give a shit about the boys. Who gives a shit about the religions?
Without intermingling, people won't know of other religions, and that is more likely to lead to religious riots or race-based riots fulled by religious elements. There's enough of such conflicts around our region today. Singapore has avoided all of those problems since the 1960s thanks to PAP's policy of getting the different races and religions in Singapore to intermingle.
This is a fallacy. The different religious groups in Singapore co-exist peacefully because of Singapore's tough Sedition Act 1948. That is religious peace for over 60 years.
Then the Singapore government took a wrong turn and start inter-faith nonsense.
You don't need inter-faith nonsense to maintain religious harmony.
