They stand by what they beleive is the right thing to do. Its actually quite respectable.
If they turned around all there policies just because they lost one by-election i would write them off straight away.
What is WP's take on population growth?
WP is probably powerless to stop this unless they can table a motion for this issue to be taken to a national referendum and that such a drastic decision has such massive consequences that it must be put to the people for them to decide how they want their country to be transformed. as stakeholders, we have every right to have a say what the PAP intends to do. If we do not and they mess up in their planing (as they are so prone to doing these days), just saying sorry and saying you dont have 20-20 vision will be an insufficient remedy when everything has already been set into motion.
The PAP has no choice. Their housing policy is turning into a vicious Ponzi scheme that threatens to bring down the roof on their heads. The loss of support amongst their own staunch 60.1 might be reduced to less than 50% so importing of new migrant voters, especially the low level coolie types who never had a flushing toilet will ensure their grip on power.
Just know this. This 6.9 policy is geared specially for them never for you.
