If we do not and they mess up in their planing (as they are so prone to doing these days), just saying sorry and saying you dont have 20-20 vision will be an insufficient remedy when everything has already been set into motion.

I don't think this tactic works anymore.

if you are caught in the jam not only in CBD area but at every major road, in HDB estates;
if you are rubbing shoulders while in the food courts, markets, shopping centres and practically everywhere you go;
if your kids are losing out on school, university, childcare placement;
if school leavers finding it hard to find reasonable jobs;
if your parents are having to delay treatments due to lack of hospital beds;
if the doctors are telling you that they will not save the lives of your old-age parents;
if every other person you meet on the streets is an unfamiliar face;
if you cannot understand what your neighbours, call centre operators, waiters/waitresses are talking about;

AMK GRC voters must do their PATRIOTIC DUTY and kick out PM LEE. The voters in Hougang, Aljunied and Ponggol East have done their share. I think they had initially wanted to increase the population to 7+ or 8 million, but reduced the figure to 6.9 million after the by-election loss.

We don't need that many people. Already it is quite crowded.

The timing of the announcement certainly defies logic if they have sensed the ground that a rapid expansion of foreigners is an issue.

They went past the U-turn sign. This paper's work started more than a year ago - die die they must hit their target. They certainly did not expect to lost PE.

To be fair, the govt policy planners always take a very long term view of things.

Short term to them is 5 years.
