The daily also highlighted a report about a 35-year-old man who was allegedly stabbed three times in the back, neck and face by his 41-year-old landlord for not settling rent of RM400 on Wednesday in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur.
Chen Hong Chee, who had been renting the house for the past year, could not settle the money as he was unemployed.
A fight apparently broke out between Chen and his landlord when the latter came to collect the money at 6.30am on that day.
One of the victim’s friends heard a noise and was shocked to find the victim’s unconscious body in the living room.
Police were taken aback when they found counterfeit money – RM100 (54 notes) and RM50 (35 notes) – on Chen while transporting him to hospital.
Police have arrested the suspect and initial investigations showed he has a criminal record involving drug abuse.
Police believe the suspect was under the influence of drugs during the fight.
