$1 per ½hr. so assuming he goes to work for 8hrs + 2hrs travel time to & fro = 10hrs.

10hrs divided by $1per ½hr = $20
$20 + public transport fares = $25+/-

not yet included petrol & car installments + insurance.... etc.

is that really saving???

haha... just like how they phrased that the revised transport fares will benefit 4 in 10 commuters (paying less)... bt they forgot to flip the equation round that 6 in 10 commuters will be paying more, so that the 4 in 10 will be paying less.

in hindsight, in order to be among the 4 in 10... u gotta be transitting, in order to gain from it. transit more to benefit more... at the end its telling us to spend more, in order to gain the ridiculously tiny rebate.
