Serious ST tells sinkies to take long term view on CECA

To be fair, there are some ah nehs that are really talented, but they won't come to Sinkieland. Instead they would go to a civilized western country. Again, no need to explain why.

Sinkieland can only attract the ACL Uptron and rude sovereign types.

After slithering here and there for 70% of the article, Ravi Vellor says sinkies' fears of losing jobs as a result
CECA is a valid one but that the surrounding issues "needs to addressed with facts, balanced reasoning, and
above all, empathy."

This could be the statement of the year for the mother of all ironic statements.

a) The govt has not come clean with all the facts; that Tharman said it was not a good agreement (he said it in
India!) for starters.
b) Without facts, it is impossible to have "balanced reasoning" and Ravi did not enlighten either in the full page
article.
c) Empathy!?@^* Empathy for whom? Again, not clear in his intentionally ambiguous article.

What do you think?
It is called SHIT TIMES for a reason. The first post-GE article, is opened by a piece of SHIT and the rest will follow soon after.

If you Indians cook less curry and be more hygienic, I probably can accept them more favourably.
I thought the one thing I can appreciate about Indians is their curry fish head on banana leave

how does CECA benefit the commoners? How many of us wants to work in India? In the end why should majority of the population have to bear with the downside and inconvenience just for the rich bosses and companies to assess Indian market?

There is no balance of benefits here . Whoever negotiate such terms ought to be sacked.

long term view on CECA means Sg in 20 years will have Indians as majority race and all good jobs will be filled by Indians

Dont see the problem.

Stinkypura is a part of Malaya anyway.

Not like Tiongs are natives to stinkypura.

If lousy 158th brainwashed stinkies can't even hold their own against CECA virus on home turf, no point trying to brag and boast.

How to compete globally?

If to date we still need foreign talent from 3rd world, that shows that our education system is so fucked up that we still cannot produce talents.

For the umpteenth time.

Education talent.

Talent is genetic. Something a person is born with.

It can't be educated or taught. Or transferred from a person to another.

It's all about letting Ho Ching's GLCs have 'access to the Indian market'... especially with the deals made with Tata Group.

In exchange, Sinkieland will help alleviate part of India's unemployment problems.

Selling out the country, plain and simple.

How come stinky 'meritocratic' (LOL! a big joke) system produced such talents as Whore Jinx?

Who agreed to such lopsided agreements?

I rather the PAP bring in Bollywood type of hookers to work in Geylang than bringing in all those male Ah Nehs to work in our PMET industry.

"One route available for Singaporeans to address specific grievances the Fair Consideration Framework (FCC)
which is meant to protect against discriminatory hiring practices. FCF requires companies to advertise
professional, managerial and executive posts for at least 14 days before the firm can apply to the Ministry
of Manpower for an EP for foreigner."

This rule is as toothless as any rule can be. These 14 days are simply built into the schedule for the hiring of employees.
They should be able to demonstrate that x number of applicants replied but NONE of them qualified. Fourteen days
is a joke. This is confirmed by the following statement in the Shitty Times report:

As of March, there were some 1,000 companies that had been placed on the FCF, including those with an
exceptionally high share of PMETs compared with their industry peers or high concentration of single
nationalities.

What does this tell you?
