The HR managers are under instructions from the management of their requirements. A example:
A company looking for a junior IT engineer with budget of $SG2k-2.5k with or without experience. When applications come in, many FTs applied with 3-5 experience in their home country while many fresh grad come in without experience. Both are fight for the same amount of pay.... guess who will these companies and hiring managers will hire?
Our local IT grads end up becoming property agents, insurance salesman and other jobs not related to IT. So how will these fresh grads get IT working experience? One of the HR manager told me, there are also no knowledge transfer to our young grads even thou her MUC company is based in SG. If the government do not impose a cap, SG's future is dead. When our young have no experience while the knowledge are being absorb away from SG by the FTs.
So when these FTs earn enough will either go back to where they crawl out from or migrate to US or some western countries.
So that make me think, in what way FTs are creating jobs in SG or adding value to SG?
What will happen to SG and what will happen to SG young?
