Huh ?? What makes you think senior management in all companies must be sinkies?

Other than some local, family-owned companies, most of MNCs are headed by foreigners from regional top-man to secretaries. Receptionists/Marketing specialists, etc are likely pinoys.

Even in local companies, you can find FT managers too, for a fraction of the cost of hiring a local manager. Which business owner do not want to have maximum profits for themself ?

Brains and loyalty ? Those are taught in schools and the Pledge only.

My friend did NOT get the job. Also, no where did I said company was a local business with a 'business owner' here.

Even so, when both candidates are within the hiuring budget, especially for those big MNCs, have you not heard of an FT manager hiring only his own kind from own kampong/countrymen? Even an receptionist is an FT !! If you have chance to have meeting with some companies here, you may by pardoned for thinking you are in some other country in a room of same nationality here in Singapore.

Just need to trawl through some threads here and you can find many examples of such situation.
