Bowling: Remy Ong, Shaun Ng win doubles gold at Commonwealth Championship



Singapore's Remy Ong partnered Shaun Ng to win a gold medal in the doubles event at the IV Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championships in Ireland on Wednesday morning.

Ong and Ng beat the English pair of Paul Moor and Darren Cundy with a combined average of 227.50.

Malaysia finished third in the 17-nation weeklong competition ending on November 29.

The Singaporean duo's win is the country's first gold in this championship.

In the women's doubles event, Jazreel Tan partnered Jennifer Tan to win a silver medal after losing out by 210 pinfalls to England in the finals. -
