S'porean attacked by road bully in Johor

A SINGAPOREAN man's trip to Johor Bahru turned nasty barely minutes after crossing the causeway, as he was threatened and beaten with a metal pole by a road bully.

The 34-year-old, known only as Mr Fan, said the altercation on Sunday afternoon left him with bruises to his waist, arm and wrist, Chinese paper Shin Min Daily News reported.

Mr Fan was travelling to JB for a shopping trip with his wife, who was three months' pregnant and his one-year-old daughter.

The manager told Shin Min that the incident started some 50 metres after he has crossed Malaysian immigration, when a silver-coloured car with a Singapore licence plate suddenly cut into his lane.

He honked in response. Following this, the car which overtook him braked suddenly, forcing him to jam on his brakes, and resulting in his daughter being thrown off her seat.

From video footage sent in by Mr Fan, Shin Min said the little girl could be heard crying in the background, and the silver-coloured car continued driving on after the abrupt stop.

Mr Fan said he then drove into an adjacent lane and signalled for the other car to pull over. But this was met with more aggression, as the other driver attempted to knock into him.

Things started to get more heated when both cars stopped at a traffic junction.

Mr Fan said he got out of the car with his family, wanting to get an apology from the other party. He was met with a middle-aged road bully wielding a metal pole, who started pushing and taunting him.

The other party soon made a move to return to his car but Mr Fan, who felt the situation was not resolved, tapped him on the back and at this point, he was attacked.

A physical fracas broke out between the two men, with the road bully's wife trying to separate the heated individuals.

A passing motorcyclist later got off his bike and tried to intervene. According to Mr Fan, the road bully told the motorcyclist that he was a Malaysian getting bullied by a Singaporean.

When the road bully tried to make another lunge at Mr Fan, he was pulled aside by the biker. At this point, Mr Fan said he did not want to obstruct traffic any further, and got back into his car and drove off.

Mr Fan told Shin Min he lodged a report with the Malaysian police last night.

Firstly, with his pregnant wife and one year old daughter, he should have just drove off. Even if you're really upset, horn and move off expecially when the other driver brakes abruptly in response to you sounding your horn.

From the looks of it, even if he horned, drove into an adjacent lane and signaled the other vehicle to pull over so long as he stayed in his own vehicle, the other driver wouldn't emerge from his with a metal rod. In a nut shell, Mr Fan himself sent all the wrong signals; he wasn't smart enough. You may be able to pull that off in Singapore without getting hurt cause most drivers are educated enough to know the repercussions of road rage or are simply timid by nature.

Anywhere in the world, never get out of your vehicle unless you're prepared to fight. Typical stupid Singaporean, starting a fight and need his wife/mother to save his ass then go crying to the world like he's a victim.

1. Horn the car then the other party anger and jam brake in front of him.
2. Then come to worst he overtake and block the car ( if he didn't do this matter will be over). He asking for fight indirectly.
3. Both come down from car. Then heat argument. The other party wanted to move on driver away. Then most worst come. He go and tap on the guy back. Signaling want to fight.

Reminds me of an incident of a gang of sinkies who went to party at JB disco.....
Two guys from the gang got into an incident with a local inside the toilet and beat up the other guy and told him not happy they will be waiting at the ground floor lift lobby.......
Even flashed credentials that they are big time gangsters from Geylang bla bla bla....
They then gathered the entire gang (about 20 in total) and waited for the malaysian.
The malaysian guy's gang came within mintues in 3 lorryloads.....
The sinkies were beaten and all fled.....one of two instigator sinkies were caught.....

this Mr Fan is more to be blamed, . If you look at the video, he and his crap wife was yaya and she egging him to confront the otehr driver( from the audio). stupid !diots as usual.
he was driving too slowly and the other chap signal and cut in which is acceptable in malausia. he then came down and challenged the other partty and he punch the other party in the back first and started the fight. in fact the other party was going back to the car and he was yelling Hokkien vulgarities at him and punch the other man's back first(seen in the video). Bloody arrogant and now complain to press when he got pawned. in the first place alot of singapore motorists drive very slowly in malaysia and cutting across is not uncommon there . who knows, it may well be a local driving a singapore plate car against another local singapore ah beng. Mr Fan may say the aggresssor is a malaysian to gain sympathy points but from the video he is equally at fault. now chicken nad cry mother father to press. he thank he lucky star it is not some real gangster who might call up enforcement and bash him then(seen it many times in JB). His wife is another crap judging from the way she speak. typical chow ah beng and chow ah lian. deserved it!!!

I think the victim was the aggressor and he was the road bully without a brain. Anyone with a year old kid would keep his anger and drive away, but this one has no brain at all.
