The grass is always greener on the other side, when he sees his peers living an adventurous life, but not knowing the loneliness that they had to endure, & the insecurities that comes with financial & physical risks with their lifestyles.

Being young & single will seem adventurous, to explore & acquire material goods. But once such are attained, it becomes equally meaningless & empty, staring at life ahead alone. One can only eat so much, drive a Ferrari so much, indulge with fantasy women so much before boredom sets in.

Do allow me to share a crude colloquial Hokkien joke on Desire, best understood & told in Hokkien:-

Each of these items is a mathematical problem that can be calculated and somewhat resolved using four basic functions of +-/*. Yet when these people talk about such issues, there is no demonstration of them even having basic awareness to sit down with pen and paper or Excel and perform simple PSLE level calculations.

For e.g. this poster claims he is well educated with good qualifications and a $2.8k job is beneath him, fine then at least show people you know PSLE Math. Do some basic calculations, get a preliminary conclusion and then raise your concerns and seek advice on whether the assumptions used in your calculations are correct and/or what are some suggestions to cut expense or increase income.

Just sit there spout generic nonsense like increased cost of living, BTO 4R expensive, kids expensive, pay sux etc. and behave like a 10 year old, how will anything get resolved?
