STOMPer paul coates saw a 'cardboard auntie' at Amoy Street yesterday (March 16). According to the STOMPer, this scene will probably fade, if not disappear with time.

The STOMPer said:

"I saw this in Amoy Street yesterday.

"This type of scene evokes the old Singapore in a modern setting but will eventually fade, if not disappear with time."

Most idiots do not know what is going on in Singapore although being Singaporeans! this will not fade but increase in time. I have seen lotsa cardboard aunties in jalan besar. Little India area. Also the number of elderly people collecting cans at kopitiams have increased.

hmm... why not?
it might mean that the economy is better so no one needs to collect cardboards any more...

Can continue the 'tradition' by taking over and pushing your own cardboard cart. It builds personality and great past time on your retirement...sic

YOU ARE WRONG! They are not fading, but shifted location. Come to Jalan Besar area. They are all there, mostly. In fact, there are still many of them living on all these 5 cents 10 cents hard work reward. You are considered as part of the lucky world in Singapore, if you don't know all these happening around you.
