Just had lunch with a lau chiao. Let's just say this guy is very connected to the people inside PAP. And mind you, I'm not talking about connected to boliaos like YPAP Sear or Fong or Eric How etc, but to bigshots inside PAP.

And this is what he told me. After 2006 election, MM Lee is damn TULAN about Singaporeans not giving his son Pinky the expected over 80% votes. In fact, Pinky got only a very avg result of 66%. MM Lee is tulan that Singaporeans are not "giving face" to PAP by supporting the Prime Minister after PAP has done so much for Singaporeans over the last few decades.

In his anger, he told the party bigshots something like if Singaporeans are not appreciative, perhaps it's time to bring in the new immigrants. Hence, you can see that they ramped up taking in FTs after 2006. And they also give FTs PRship very quickly, hoping that more will become Singaporeans.

In fact, my contact told me that if not because MM is still inside PAP, his son's leadership position inside the party will surely be challenged since his son can only manage to obtain an avg GE result.

As you all can see, for the sake of preserving PAP rules, farker Lau CB is willing to sell out Singaporeans who have toiled here their whole life by selling out to FTs.

This part sounds certain to be true. Goh Chok Tong in his first contest as PM (even BE and 4-cornered) won 73% against an SDP team that included a freshly upcoming Dr. Chee Soon Juan still fully backed by Chiam See Tong, Ashleigh Seow son of Francis Seow and ex-PAP MP Low Yong Nguan, also making the NSP and SJP teams lose their deposits.

It was quite clear that even if, as intended, WP had fielded a team led by J.B. Jeyaretnam, they'd have lost too, perhaps with a few percents more, that's all. Lee Hsien Loong scored 66.6% against five kids and an old men whom no one had really heard of before.

Blame their own gerrymandering. Cheng San is geographically part of AMK. They took it out to create Cheng San GRC so that Cheng San and Aljunied GRCs surround Hougang SMC. Then came Tang Liang Hong and J.B.J. to give it a big bang. Getting worried, they dismantled Cheng San GRC and AMK took it back again, shedding Yio Chu Kang as an SMC. After that redrawing, Aljunied GRC surrounds Hougang completely, i.e. Hougang is an island in Aljunied, like Berlin was an island in East Germany.

From another source, I knew that MOM went into a high gear mode to "auto" issue work passes. Computer is used to decide in giving out work passes without human intervention. Everything is based on what the applicant writes. If you say you are a degree holder, the computer will just take it. The applicant is supposed to make a statutory declaration but a lot of these 3rd world Fake FTs really dont give a fark.

Anyway, this helps in processing and approving large amt of FTs in the last few years. This was during Hen's time. I think I've mentioned this on the forum here b4. Now according to my this source, who is quite connected to some people inside MOM, there is no way Hen will dare implement this sort of system without approval of the cabinet. Hence, the cabinet (aka Lau CB) knew about the auto-approval process and approved it....

It doesn't really matter to the higher ups.
They know that they and their families are very well sheltered from these "foreign talents", with hardly if any contact with them at all.
That's why they are not worried at all if they are really degree holders or really have a skill or experience in certain industries or trade, or even if they are really here to work.
They gave the order to bring in the numbers and their underlings have promptly done so.
These higher ups are not expecting themselves or their family members to have to deal directly with these "foreign talents". Even their children will have an obedient true blue singaporean scholar reporting to them. The "foreign talent" can jolly well report to the singaporean scholar.
