So surprised that my Club dont sell pork satay..

Bro AK, I see nothing wrong with this thread.

You should not expect a person to shut up just because you don't like him. If he spams again, then we deal with him.

Now why am I not surprised that he should single me out saying I make same type of threads as FP? I invite anyone to look at all my threads and see the similarities if any. And I congratulated him a few days ago albeit prematurely for having changed. Apparently I made a mistake.

It is obvious that you are not a newbie here, so why create another nick?:rolleyes:

On the internet likes and dislikes change faster than the weather.

Much likes nicknames. Change much faster than underwear sometimes!!

I knew Ramseth in another forum long before he became part of the Delphi forum. I did not follow him preferring to remain where I was but I do read a few political forums but was too busy to participate. Does that make me an old member? Maybe jw5 can reveal all my other nicks. I am still waiting for the list.

Never heard of any vegetarian satay yet leh..

Make your own, it is not that hard. curry puff 002 (640x480).jpgcurry puff 003 (640x480).jpgcurry puff 006 (640x480).jpgcurry puff 007 (640x480).jpg

Why are they then able to sell beef, mutton & chicken satays; but no pork satays ?..:*:
When i asked our Club's Dy Manager, all the answer i got was; Muslims' dont consume pork..
If that's the line taken, then how about the Hindus, Buddhists etcc..cant understand why the leeway..

Hindus, Buddhists don't eat Beef & meat of any kind for the latter!.
Muslims don't eat pork

"a certain race" will eat anything that has legs, but some fall into the above categories.. (:-

No many people like kambing, & we are eating too much chicken meat... the club have a hard time trying to please everybody, so they will be selling Vegetables Satay next..but then again, the vegetarian & the vegans, will protest over the type of vegetables, how they are grown..

the should ban satay altogether...less problems..and healthy for you!

The waiters and waitresses can not touch pork

It is not true that Buddhist do not eat meat. Tradition says that the Holy Buddha died because the pork that was given to him was contaminated.

One should be free to eat anything as one's conscience dictates. After all, it is not what that goes into you contaminates you, but what is uttered by and comes out of you.

They generally don't eat meat...then again, there is a fork in Buddhism too, like most religion! That principle most people don't understand, "it is what goes into you, that contaminates"...that is why, we can never have a peaceful world..

They generally don't eat meat...

two brances of Buddhism, Theravada Buddhism (practice mainly in Thailand, Burma, Loas, Cambodia) and Mahayana Buddhism (East Asia)

for Theravada, meat (all kind) eating is common

and it also doesn't make one a "better" bhuddhist , like some think, because they go before the altar and light joss sticks and say they will give up beef...... speaking from own observation

Actually nowadays there is vegetarian everything. There are stalls selling vegetarian satay and otah at the Circuit Road hawker centre.

My only problem with this trend is when those who claim vegetarianism for religious reasons desire to and do eat vegetarian versions of meat-based dishes. That is nothing if not pure hypocrisy!

Pork is dirty meat for good reasons. Pigs are scavengers that will even eat their own shit.
Its best to cut out pork from your diet.

I also don't understand people who don't eat beef but eat ikan bilis.

Quite agree. Should not sell beef because Indian dont eat beef.
Why only think for Muslim not Indian that very racist. If not just sell all kind of meat. Consumer will choose what they want.

Not just your club, its a growing trend in Singapore and across many parts of the western world. No ham sandwiches in schools, community meetings etc. Reflects poorly on the Jewish and Muslim religious authority. Other cultures and religions have certain restrictions but they don't just drag the rest of the world into their preferences. Sadly the pig is not an evil and avoidance in that part of the world was due to the heat when such meat goes badly quite quickly.

We have ourselves to blame when we allow them to climb over our head.

There is an emerging trend:

Collection of donation for Gaza pple ........ instead of collection for the muslims in Gaza

n Grouping of Religion ministers in the region........ instead of ministers in charge of muslim matters!! Our once in 50 years JLB is current chairman. Why is such grouping necessary when sg is not an islamic state? It is a little red dot in the seas of mozzies////

Does your club serve alcohol? If it doesn't, might as well join another club.

Cheers!
