i wonder why there is no criminal negligence charged by the police?
police usually steps in to investigate and charge the car / truck drivers for negligence.
for this case, why there is no court case by police?
just sack and conclude this case?
i want to see police to charge the culprits in court
Its is said in the article that an official body is still doing its investigation. But who is the one doing this official investigation? If its SMRT, then its just like a criminal being appointed to be police investigated in a crime that he committed. Also the same if LTA is the one doing the investigation as they own the track and train involved in the accident and cannot claim to be without conflict of interest. Police don't investigate until the coroner has determined the caused of death and the DPP files criminal or negligence charges. By some strange coincidence, MOT formed a new agency called Transport Safety Investigation Branch (TSIB), but that was formed in August this year, way after the train accident. And it only investigates marine and air accidents, not rail. I wonder why? The sister agency in the US, the NTSB also investigate rail accidents. The old MRTC used to set up its own panel to investigate any rail accidents. SMRT is doing the same thing, so in other words, its own ownself investigate ownself. Guess what will be the result? Now you see why your questions are irrelevant. SMRT will ownself investigate ownself, make sure they are not at fault and therefore if they are not at fault, then no need to report to police. Expect coroner investigation to rely heavily on their data and findings, hence the coroner will back them up and whitewash the whole thing.
