The trip (Total 11N hotel-stay in Spain [8N] & Portugal [3N] - altho' advertised as 14D Trip) cost above S$4k with taxes [didn't manage to get the Early Bird Discount] plus another 200+ Euros for the compulsory tips plus optional tours
THIS is among one of my MOST expensive trips so far as paid only below 4k for the earlier other trips

I didn't do much 'branded bag shopping' - only bought a Furla bag from a smallish outlet
Still managed to return home with some spare unused 250++ Euros for next Europe trip
Some of the others of course bought LOTS more (Chanel, LV, Prada, etc etc)
Preferred the outlet shopping at much bigger Parndof in Austria or even over at Paris & Berlin etc as discounts were higher/more value-for-money on earlier trips

Would say in all spent above S$5k inclusive [ie package tour with SQ flights, non-included meals, souvenir and more-serious shopping, casino loss, etc] :o:p

When compared with my overall casino losses over at MBS/RWS
this S$5k+ is only 'sup sup water' :o
I could have bought myself many Rolex watches or even Chanel bags [not that I like Rolex or Chanel mostly ] or travelled Biz Class ... sighzzz :*:
Too late for regrets - went in with my eyes open & big 'gambling fun' appetite & all etc

It was my favourite game and only one I played before SE. When the AVP jackpot was $450k, I almost got it - It was paying well and I was alternating between 200 credits and max 400 credits play and I got all 5 AYP dropped and I played only 200 credits. Won $5k for that instead of the JP. To win the JP you must play max. sigh!

Now at $1.3 million JP, imagine how much $$$ the 10 machines have swallowed! My hunch is it will not drop until it crosses $1.5 million to make a killing by the casino.

Max bet is 400 credits or $20 a spin! No wonder the big JP never drop. Most were just playing between 40-200 credits max.

Was at orchid club today playing bank buster, saw the big JP of $40K dropped with just min 50 credits bet which is $1 a spin!

Thought today Fri 11-11-11 to be an 'auspicious lucky day' - so was half-hearted about trying out my slot luck after the 'long' absence - tho' main aim was to get my MBS PA Card renewed since it expired in Oct :o

Phew .... what a horribly wet rainy day !
1st time for both my friend and me - going up the escalators {other than heading straight to the Casino} and 'exploring RWS'
Verdict : Both my friend and I still prefer MBS over RWS

The RWS "Shopping Gallery" is such a small pathetic place with so few shops :(
Finally settled on 2 items from TUMI {a travel crossbody for me as about high time to replace my current >>10-year old one and a toiletry bag for my friend for her boss's Xmas present - at 10% off with my RWS Gold Card}
BUT got a minor shock of sorts when informed couldn't pay with the RWS Vouchers but only with my RWS GP Points
Thankfully my GPs were more than enough [leaving balance of over 200+ GPs too] to pay :p
Then we went to Hard Rock Hotel and had drinks & cakes at the Startz Restaurant there since the rain was still very heavy - with the RWS Card Discount, one $25 voucher was more than sufficient for the $24.01 bill.

However lately this week I got myself 'lured' into joining some 'new-fangled to me' online Auction Site without really understanding how the game/auction is played here first :o
(I now keep a Daily Watchout for the DEALS that are available - in case of any suitable discounted trips/meals/mani&pedicures/etc & foolishly went on to buy some 50% discounted online auction tokens)
I had wrongly thought that the $/tokens used would be refunded if I was ultimately unsuccessful in my bids (like the 'normal auctions' or on e-bay) .... too late to discover it was not so :o
Lost some $200 in 2 auctions without winning anything at all
I happened to express my view that this seems to be worse than the casino and got a warning to refrain from making defamatory statements (hah - why defamatory ????)

I always keep in mind that slot is an entertainment and I am not going to chase after the money that I have lost.
Still continuing my game as per usual, maintain my habit at ave bet $3/6 spin, avoid Sat, work "morning shift" on Sunday. :p, no atm card/credit card to casino.
