Was at rws yesterday, not much crowd for a weekend. Probably long weekend so many went overseas for holiday.

Started at smoke area 5D 2cents play on 30/60 credits bets, my usual cautious play during weekends. Features took long time to come with very low payout. Once hit a feature, next feature took a long time to trigger. Hop around to try some other machines still same. Switched to play 50D 2 cents 100 credits bet, same same. Tried some other games as well, not paying out and was down few hundreds. Decided to give a last try for slots with the 5D 10 cents slots, put $300 into this machine with min 30 credits spin, no feature at all!

This weekend slots must have been real tight, don't feel like the usual with at least some decent pays. Noticed many players also struggling so stop slots play and proceed to table game. Park myself at one Baccarat table, min $200 per bet. Initially,play was up down up down. Later a mini streak came, started to win and recover losses from slots. Played a few more hands and won some coffee money. Decided time to leave with the small win.

While I was there,overheard some comments on the CRA kopi session. They felt unhappy with this and were discussing. Also heard another group commenting on the rws perks which currently, being really lousy.

Depends on the previous month your playing points. On certain months I too don't have any vouchers as my visits then were few. On a certain month I get hotel two nights stay plus spa plus food voucher.

So best to check at upstairs entrance counter. No choice to choose the vouchers. I always forfeit my hotel stay n spa voucher.

I really thought I would not be getting any more of those Complimentary Room SMSes but I got one today that's pretty generous - giving 2N each in 2 time periods making a total of 4N from 29 August to 25 Sep [20-22 Sep Blackout Dates].

So I've very quickly made a booking over 3 weekends - the last being a 2N Consecutive one in mid-Sep
Better to make the most of it while it lasts -
I suppose MBS knows that I'm highly unlikely to do a Casino Visit if I'm not checked-in as well at the Hotel.

I prefer such simple straightforward complimentary room offers instead of having to be alert and redeem those 'complicating now to me' Play & Earn Deals within certain deadline etc etc etc .....

Yay - that means I'll be staying in Singapore instead of going to HK [was toying with the idea of a short HK Getaway] - already going to Bangkok again in late Sep utilising my 'free' TigerAir Voucher won from some TripAdvisor BKK Contest last year ....

Later on in late Oct got my 10D Jiuzhaigo JZG Trip [which I hope to bring forward by a week or so in order to catch the best Fall/Autumn Red Leaves there] which I'll be doing alone - paying extra Single Supplement to the Travel Agent as my friend only wants to do the JZG etc with me and her kakis NEXT Year on our own Customised 'DIY' Trip which I'm currently working on - plan to do max 15 days so no China Visa required ....

I would want to do Western Sichuan [Daocheng Yading - the photographers' dreamplace] which has just been upgraded [Daocheng Airport to open later this year etc] in addition to the other major attractions in Sichuan [but no Mt Emei] - late Spring or Summer or Sep timing [my friend doesn't want peak Oct or winter months] - next best option instead of going to 'tough/difficult' Tibet itself ! there's so much reading/researching/homework to do here but then again - probably the Journey is more interesting than the Destination here ???

After the rest have agreed on 1. the Itinerary 2. The Timing 3. Estimated Budget etc, we'll have to liaise with the China local agents on our trip - it WILL be more expensive than the usual packaged tours BUT we'll do away with the annoying Shopping Stops and go where we want to

I usually forfeit mine too. Room vouchers are hard to redeem as the rooms are subject to availability, which is not easy to book on Fri/Sat night. Spa i used once - actually its not bad and the place is quite nice.
I still like F&B vouchers and nn chips/slots which is easier to spend.

I only got free US tickets during the first year via sms. I didn't even know have to go membership counter to check for free vouchers, until a friend told me much more later on. Unlike MBS which will sms u your comps?

So far, have received F&B and NN slots vouchers, but never free hotel stays. Have stayed many times in these 3 hotels, michael, festive and hard rock using points redemption. Think was around 100 plus points a night then.

Of the 3, I like HR the best.

My understanding of Electronic Roulette and Baccarat is that they little guy can also play these games. Put $5 or $10 here and there. Otherwise it is the same as table games. They cannot play the high minimum table game or bet $100,000 per hand like some can do in Baccarat.

There is a common problem to all gamblers, it is not difficult to win but it surely difficult to LEAVE with winning because greed is part of human nature. Inside every gambler's heart, will always tell himself/herself that this will be my last game...... however, it will never end until everything single dollar is gone.

If you are able to control greed, there is an easy way to win a few hundred bucks from Electronic roulette. Go to youtube and search roulette strategy - watch the videos and pick the strategy that you agree with.
I tried one of the strategy before, bet 33 numbers out of 37, the chances of winning 89%, however each time I have to risk $1100 to win $100 and should not play more than 5 games. The chances of losing $1100 is 11%. Another strategy is call 17 split, bet $1,700 to win $100, chances of winning is 94.5% and losing is 4.5%.

Sorry lah - no "very big boss here" - how I wish ..... :o

I have a total of 4 secretaries working 'under' me and they consider me to be their "immediate small-boss as such mainly signing their correspondence/documents and dealing with issues that might crop up there etc" - BUT all of the 10 of us [my peers at the same level here = PMETs] are still mere EMPLOYEES in this company - the profits are shared by the 2 directors - the rest of us employees largely get only 'peanuts' sighzzzzz :(
But in actual fact the secretaries are far more valued than us.

The company is in a very "economy-sensitive industry" and we've been badly hit by the latest round of property-cooling measures from the government - ie. if no property sellers & buyers = no business for us
The directors kept using the excuse of "preserving for a rainy day" inspite of the last several boom years - on bonuses and salary increments
In fact I was very very pissed off with the last supposed bonus - worked out to be even much less than the equivalent of a 13th Month Payment - it was only later that the directors paid us the other half of this 13th Month and most of us didn't get any True Bonus as such at all the last round.
In the other similar industry firms/companies I've worked in before - no matter how bad the business was we would at the very minimum still get this FULL 13th Month payment
What happened to the Reserves from the past years etc etc etc ????
There is talk of retrenchment etc sighzzzz
So if something bad happens here again - I can only blame our government for the situation !!! Sighzzzzz

I was affected in the 2000 recession "structural unemployment" and went into a few years of Involuntary Early Retirement but am hoping I could continue working here until I'm far too old/useless as the present semi-flexi 85% work-week fits me just fine
No point thinking of unpleasant scarey things - just live life to the best and treat each day as our last so that we'll not have regrets etc :p
That's my philosophy whenever I get lectures from my mom - on not saving money for the future from my squandering on travel & other extravagances etc
