When STOMPer Mr. Yen experienced slow internet speeds on his mobile broadband plan, he decided to upgrade his internet plan. However, he was disappointed that this did not improve the situation at all.
The sender says that although Singtel promised to fix his problem, his internet speeds fell back to 0.00kb per second shortly after upgrading his plan from 2000kb to 4000kb per second.
In an email, STOMPer Mr Yen says:
“On August 8, I called Singtel and told them that there has been something wrong with my mobile broadband service for a few days already.
“I was experiencing an upload speed of 0.00kb/s and download speed of 0.00kb/s.
“The CSO asked me to configure the USB modem which I did, but it did not revert to its usual speed of 2000.
“I kindly asked them if it was due to my price plan and told them that I was okay with upgrading my plan to 4000.
“The new plan worked well and internet speed was steady for the next two days. However, on August 11, the speed was down to 0.00 kb/s again!
“I'm very furious at how Singtel can give me assurance yet let things happen this way.”
