Apart from the upgrading, all the mailboxes were changed to the new junk mail-proof type where residents can lock or unlock the flap. All flaps are in turn controlled by a master lock located at the top of the mailbox to which only the postman has access.
In my block, this master lock was left unlocked, making individual locks obsolete and mailboxes prey to fliers and junk-mail distributors. This has gone on for close to a month. Although I called the delivery base about a week ago to complain, the postman has yet to secure the master lock.
Two days ago, I e-mailed SingPost but, other than a computer-generated reply, I have heard nothing from them.
