Whether the old man gets wiser or retarded as he ages is irrelevant but since the young guy spat at him, he committed an assault on the old man. The old man should make a police report as every elderly person is entitled to protection from harm, intimidation, threats, physical or verbal abuses, etc under the laws in sinkie land. This privilege is accorded only to the elderly. Otherwise, it is a civil case if no elderly is involved. Next time, walk away when an elderly person challenges you unless you want the police to challenge you.
