On Wednesday, the Hong Kong police found the bodies of a 34-year-old woman and her five-month-old daughter at the bottom of an apartment block, according to an official statement.

No notes were found at the scene, said the police, who are still investigating the incident and determining the cause of death.

The authorities did not identify the deceased.

However, local news outlet, including HK01 and Ming Pao, have named them as the American-Chinese business woman Ms Luo and her young daughter.

Ms Luo, a single mother, was believed to have taken her life after suffering post-natal depression, reported Hong Kong newspaper Ming Pao.

She was said to have jumped to her death without wearing clothing from her 5,000-square-foot penthouse while carrying her baby in her arms.

Ms Luo appeared to have enjoyed an extravagant life as a socialite as she was frequently pictured with influential figures around the world including former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and English pop superstar Rita Ora.

In a recent Instagram post, Ms Luo shared a photo with her daughter, Aier, while celebrating her baby girl's 100-day birthday.

The mother wrote: 'She is God's way to give me perspective on life. Thank you for showing up in my life my beloved daughter.'

Ms Luo, 34, appeared to have lived a lavish life, studying and travelling around the world

Ms Luo was reportedly the only daughter of Luo Lin, the chairman of Jinlin Real Estate in south-western Chinese metropolis Chengdu, who owns multiple luxury development projects across the country.

Her father is said to have come from a doctor family who have practised Chinese traditional medicine for six generations.

Born in Chengdu, Ms Luo moved to Hong Kong at the age of four before studying in Australia and the United States.

She was said to be a fluent English speaker and have worked as a translator for her mother before founding her own company in 2014."

You obviously passed the assessment which meant that the board was satisfied that you had the necessary attributes needed to relate to others with empathy and concern.

Has something changed in your brain structure because you now seem to hate mankind with a vengeance.

I dunno about brain structure.

But as a 18 year old what the heck we know about people? Especially those of us in the elite schools? We mix with the upper class middle class people. We speak relatively proper English. We don't mix around with gangsters, uncouth people.

In BMT we are grouped together with A level cohort. More of the same.

What do we know? Then we go for interview. Of course we say people are generally good. All we do is talk to good people. We avoid shady places, Brothels Night clubs, Pubs etc.....

What do we know?

Then we get into medical school and more of the same.

Same cohort.

Then we realize need to learn Hokkien. Cantonese. Mandarin. Malay. Then we start seeing people. But as medical students how many you talk to in a day? Clerk 10 cases a day is a lot already.

Then go out to work.......see true blue real people. Some are downright nasty fucking bastards and bitches.

So yeah maybe brain changes also.

I dont bother about the others now. I just want to die and be gone.
