The medisave is looked upon as a business entity.. just like any other entity run by PAP.

Outpatient cannot use medisave de woh.
Only those sickness listed under chronic disease can use but also limited to $700 per year for outpatient clinic fees.
When you go retail pharmacy to buy eg nestle boost for malnutrition patient, gauze, syringe etc etc all need cash and the items are all very expensive. Patient with nasal gastro tube feeding, patient with colostomy the bags etc all are super costly, and all different kind of medical conditions requiring all different kind of medical products, you will pay a few K per mth just for the consumables.
I came across cases for parental nutrition need about $7k per mth take note just for that item excluding all other expenses that need to go along with it.
Glaucoma patient using eye drop that are not subsidized per bottle abt $25-$45 just a few ml of drops. Per mth a few hundreds is needed. Pg glaucoma pay the same rate as not all eye drops are subsidised.
You will pay for your patents until you broke even your mthly income is 10k
Fuck lah, if you are Pioneer generation and you pay this kind of money, you are fucking stupid and deserve to die. U ever heard of this place called JB or not? One case of 24 Nestle Boost, you can get for RM$516 in Malaysia. Around SGD$155. One nasal gastric feeding tube cost RM$250. etc. u make a trip to JB once or twice a month and everything u mention don't come up to $2k SGD. I have several cars and I live in landed property, even then I still go to JB for things like new car tires, batteries, servicing, etc. Only suckers pay high prices in singapore and give profit to the govt.

This is the problem with brain dead sinkies. When the govt tell them this is the cost, they cannot get a cheaper medication or get it cheaper somewhere else, because it's all controlled by the govt. but apparently the thought of going over to Malaysia to get it cheaper does not occur to them.
