stupid is as stupid does. in many 1st world countries, the public transportation role out trains of different interior to cater to the commuter volume.
when its rush hour, they send out trains with maximized standing capacity, to accomodate volume.
when its not rush hour, they send out trains with standard sitting capacity.
sometimes, they send out trains with fold away seats in selected cabins, and can double as handicap cabin for wheelchair bound commuters, with assigned staff to assist boarding & alighting passengers & ensure safety.

here, they only eye on revenue, and more revenue. higher fares but lesser emphasis for passenger safety. so when the train jams brake, we see standing passengers do pole dance

very soon, there will be students sitting on the floor of the train (they're already doing this in the normal trains) ... so other commuters will have no place to stand & also unable to move into centre of the train ... back to square 1 ...
