Singapore try to act like a big country ..

East Coast and West Coast.......small island ...smaller than a piece of rock in the Rockies......The weather forcast even say west coast rain and east coast cloudy then tell the temperate difference. Just like looking at prono and think you actully screw the white whore!

East Coast and West Coast in USA and Canada and Australia ....even Malaysia makes some sense........in Singapore...shit my toes laugh!

Obviously you do not appreciate smallness. It may be small but it is powerful. Look at all the electronic stuffs - handphones, iphones, ipad, notebooks, digital cameras, etc - they are getting smaller but packed with fantastic stuffs. So is Singapore - smaller but mightier and more successful than many other larger countries..

Name given during the carefree colonial days when Lord Faber mounted his amah on the hill.

Same thing with Vernon.

Elizabeth and Emily were lesbians.

Cheers!

Apart from places with "Mount" names, we also have "Valleys" and "Rivers." Singapore is a Little Red Dot on the map but have a very big ego.:D

If small is powerful then Singapore shouldn't have Singapore flyers trying to build bigger wheel then the London eyes

In US, it takes three days and three nights to drive from East Coast to West Cost. In Singapore, it takes half an hour to drive from East Coast to West Coast.

The first time that I visited Genting was during NS days. There was no such name as Genting Hill or Mount Genting, Bukit Genting or Gunung Genting. I was told Genting the name by itself means on top of the clouds.

River Valley in Singapore is bona fide name. It's the valley between Fort Canning and Singapore River. Redhill is not a hill, some slopes perhaps. It's named after Redhill, a suburb outside London, not because there's any hill there. The Malays conveniently translated it as Bukit Merah even though all can see there's no bukit there.

Highlands usually mean a range of mountains or a stretch of high plateau. Cameron would qualify as highlands since it has several mountains. Genting is one single mountain and certainly high enough to be called a mountain.

In Singapore, the highest hill is Bukit Timah. There's no hill high enough to be called mountain. I'd say Mount Faber qualifies as a hill too but the name Mount Faber instead of Faber Hill remains a mystery to me.

I forgot to mention, three drivers rotating non-stop except meal and toilet breaks. Everybody needs to eat, drink, pee and shit. But we can sleep in the car. If you keep making motel stops to sleep, yes, it'd take a whole week.

wat hill? ...

iz a mound ...

Good ! That was what I was about to say - a mound. But, shall I say it is merely a bump ? Errr ... still a hill lah.

After the 911 incident, I thought of upgrading it to ... burning of Sinkies' HDB flats and musing ma'self on this hill to enjoy my next spectacular masterpiece with reference to or in comparison with Nero's. Can this be better than mass killing or sex ?

Playing classical music and dancing on this miserable Mt Faber while the city burns can be another record for the biggest madness in the Guinness World Record. I can understand Nero well enough, we may be of the same kind. Obviously, Nero wasn't mad at all. I CAN understand him.

Redhill used to be a hill and Henderson Road was a hilly road that cut through Redhill, Mt Faber and Mt Washington. Because of land cutting, everything is now more flat.
