The selection criteria to the Olympics needs to be tightened. I mean that 100m sprinter youngster was really awful and all those swimmers apart from Tao Li do not deserve to be in Beijing. Same goes for Susilo and that shooter. Hope the sailors do a better job though.

It shows that Singaporeans are terrible Olympians but have to resort to FT to give them a medal. Why did we waste money on Nicolette Teo and others???

But if we do not expose them to olympics, how would they be able to gain experince? For any sportsman to improve, you must constantly compete with the best. So not choice got to throw the people like the sprinter into a pool of sharks for him to learn.

You throw him into a pool of sharks he'll get eaten alive. You're supposed to throw him first into a pool without fish, then a pool with sharks without fins or teeth, then a pool with sharks without teech then only a pool with sharks.
