A thread like this is incomplete without ...
The exercise was led by the Singapore Armed Forces’ Special Operations Task Force (SOTF), with personnel from the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosives Defence Group and the Medical Response Force.
The SOTF comprises elite soldiers from the Army's Commandos and the Navy's Naval Diving Unit. They can use assets from across the SAF for complex missions, including taking down terrorists and rescuing hostages.

U are the one that needs to do their homework. Yes, some of the SOF are trained with the US Navy SEALS and other HRUs. But its not all of them. And more importantly, the commanders and decision makers are not these SEAL trained operators, they are scholars. SO unless its a standard operation like storming a plane, these scholars are shit useless. In cases where the situation is unusual like the Sentosa cable car rescue, u have scholars like the moron Pinky asking the commandoes to crawl the cables to each car and rescue the occupants. how retarded is that. The SOF is only as good as its commanders/ decision makers. which makes them a joke.Quite many of our SOF troopers are SEAL qualified. Many have of them have completed local Ranger School before going off to BUDS in the US. If not SEAL then its US Special Forces school at Fort Bragg or SAS in the UK.
Please do your homework before talking ass. Bet you can't even pass your IPPT.
I have never failed my IPPT . Every country has its own elite/special forces calling itself commando, rangers, guards, sas, sbs , ect2 but most important is actual combat experience in battle/war against a well armed/organised combatants eg Falklands, Afghanistan ect2 .Quite many of our SOF troopers are SEAL qualified. Can you tell me of any battle honour /campaign streamer won by this unit?
Note : A battle honour is an award of a right to a military unit to emblazon the name of a battle or operation on its flags ("colours"), uniforms or other accessories.
Campaign streamers are decorations attached to military flags to recognize particular achievements or events of a military unit .The streamer often is an
inscribed ribbon with the name and date denoting participation in a particular battle, military campaign, or theater of war;
The battle honours are held in high esteem by military personnel. Regiments take pride in their battle honours, and the winning of further battle honours, as these are seen to enhance a unit's reputation.
Very well said.!
In training and in actual operations are totally two different matters.
I read somewhere another samster mentioned that their winning best combat unit
every year in, year out is a joke.
If you Googled on the very Badass of SOF in Asean,
Indonesia's Kopassus has more glories in actual real life SOF Ops and
had won many International competiton among the SOFs.
Alright. If you want to make that level of comparison.I have never failed my IPPT . Am I bias?-I surely am as I am a black beret
You missed the point. Someone opined that SOF troopers are not as good as SEALS and I merely pointed out many of them are also already wearIng the trident.U are the one that needs to do their homework.
